Changsha IFS

Standing at 452 meters in the heart of Changsha's Wuyi Square commercial district, Changsha IFS (International Finance Square) is a super-tall urban complex featuring a luxury mall, Grade-A offices, and an international five-star hotel. It is the tallest building in Hunan Province.

The exterior lighting design for the iconic towers, led by Brandston Partnership Inc., masterfully integrates illumination with the unique architecture. As a leading outdoor lighting manufacture, Shone Lighting supplied 31,132 high-performance LED linear lights for this prestigious project.

Executed with precision by the engineering contractor, Shenzhen Kaiming Electric Lighting Co., Ltd., the installation achieved a remarkable hidden-source lighting effect:

• The north and south facades feature densely packed fixtures within decorative elements, enabling dynamic animations and text displays.
• The east and west facades utilize strategically spaced LED linear lights, creating a cohesive yet distinctive appearance while optimizing energy efficiency.

Through rigorous prototyping, Brillava l'illuminazione, the outdoor lighting manufacture, selected a custom LED linear light solution perfectly matched to the project's exacting requirements for profile, beam angle, and power output. This ensured seamless architectural integration and optimal visual impact.

• Fast, Secure Installation: Fixtures feature four U-shaped slots per side for quick flange-mounting and daisy-chaining, significantly reducing labor time and costs.
• Maintenance-Friendly: The design prioritizes long-term accessibility and serviceability.
• Zero Light Intrusion: Meticulously engineered mounting details ensure precise beam control. Fixtures align perfectly with the curtain wall structure, eliminating light spill into interior spaces.
• Smart Energy Management: A multi-scene control system (Festive, Standard, Night) dynamically adjusts the number of active lights, enabling dramatic visual transformations while maximizing energy savings.

Inspired by the majestic quartz-sandstone pillars of Zhangjiajie, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Hunan, the towers' design evokes the region's natural beauty and dynamism. The lighting, harmonizing with the architectural form, enhances this elegance and vitality, elevating Changsha IFS into a true illuminated landmark.
