Architectural & Facade
Located at the heart of the Bund Finance Hub, Shanghai Bund Finance Center (BFC) boasts unparalleled views of Shanghai's finest scenery. This approximately 420,000-square-meter complex integrates five core functions: clubhouses, corporate headquarters, a shopping mall, an art center, and a boutique hotel. It converges finance, commerce, tourism, culture, and art, further enhanced by cultural amenities including the art center and an outdoor stage.

BFC is Shanghai's only complex featuring a distinctive facade treatment of beige hand-carved stone, copper elements, and glass curtain walls. The architects utilized stone, copper, and glass to create BFC's unique "skin," embodying the history and culture of the Bund.
BFC's landscape lighting, masterfully designed by internationally renowned firm BPI, expresses and elevates the building's "beauty of stone, metal, and growth." It vividly etches traces of historical experience, perfectly capturing the memory of time and the eternal beauty of modernity.
Guangdong Shone Lighting Co., Ltd. contributed to illuminating this landmark, serving as BFC's outdoor architectural lighting product provider. Shone's linear lights and flood lights applied their expertise to this "Bund's most beautiful building" and "irreplaceable Bund landmark."
The project employed Shone's custom LED linear lights (15x27x1000mm, 15x40x1000mm) and flood lights (90x67x150mm, 260x80x150mm). This combination masterfully reveals the Bund facade's material characteristics, layers, aesthetics, essence, and heritage during the night.
Optimized flood light angles and color temperature accentuate the raw texture of the beige hand-carved stone with exceptional clarity and detail. The fusion of "stone" and "light" conveys strength, solidity, eternity, and classicism.

BFC expresses linearity and surface layering through transformed metal forms, giving the building unique metallic ornamentation and details in copper tones. Nighttime lighting highlights the distinct textural quality of the metal.
The interplay between the building's inherent facade lines and the lighting evokes meanings of "growth," "ascent," and "progress," perfectly interpreting BFC's unique architectural character. Varying line thickness, ascending from ground to sky, interplay of light and shadow, and contrasts of brightness and darkness create a visually compelling transition from solid to ethereal.
